For 50kW-class low-voltage grid-connected solar power plants, here is a design proposal using Huawei power conditioners and SEAFOREST modules for your reference.
1. Design Overview
Grid Connection: Low-voltage (Single-phase 200V / Three-phase 415V・380V)
Total Capacity: 50kW class
Power Conditioner: Huawei
Modules: SEAFOREST 340W / 350W
2. Design Options (2 Patterns)
【A】Single-Phase 200V Configuration
Power Conditioner: Huawei 4.95kW × 10 units (Total 49.5kW)
Each unit: 2 MPPT channels, 2 input circuits
Total input circuits: 24 circuits
Modules:
– 340W: 240 panels total, 81.6kW total capacity (24 panels per unit, 2-string configuration)
– 350W: 240 panels total, 84.0kW total capacity (24 panels per unit, 2-string configuration)
String configuration will be optimized according to on-site conditions.
【B】Three-Phase 415V / 380V Configuration
Power Conditioner: Huawei SUN2000-50KTL-M3 (Low-voltage three-phase setting model)
Capacity: 49.95kW, 4 MPPT channels, 8 input circuits
Modules:
– 340W: 146 panels total, 49.64kW total capacity (22 panels in series × 7 circuits)
– 350W: 141 panels total, 49.35kW total capacity (23 panels in series × 6 circuits)
*Note: The standard specification is medium-voltage (480V), but low-voltage (415V) grid connection is possible through firmware/settings adjustment. When purchasing, please confirm with the distributor that it is the “low-voltage setting version.”*
3. Important Design Considerations
Low-Voltage Grid Connection Settings: When using the 50KTL-M3 model, confirm that it is set for low-voltage three-phase (415V) connection.
Voltage Range: All configurations meet the MPPT voltage range (200V–1000V) and startup voltage (200V), ensuring stable operation even in early morning or evening during winter.
Protection Coordination: Low-voltage grid connections are more susceptible to surges from the grid. Installation of AC surge protection devices (SPD) on the output side of the power conditioner is recommended.
4. Summary (Recommended by Application)
For Single-Phase 200V Grid Connection: Option A (4.95kW × 10 units)
For Three-Phase 415V / 380V Grid Connection: Option B (50KTL-M3 × 1 unit)
5. Application for Existing Equipment Replacement / Renewal
Full Replacement (Panels + Power Conditioners): The proposed design can be applied directly.
Panel-Only Replacement: Replace existing panels with SEAFOREST modules and adjust the connection configuration to match the existing power conditioner.
Power Conditioner-Only Replacement: Use the power conditioner configuration from this proposal and combine it with a string configuration tailored to the existing panels.
